Basic Travel Checklist
Travel tips, well more common sense but in the excitement of going on you’re holidays it’s quite easy to get caught up in it all and forget those essentials, print it off, share it, send it to yourself on a postcard and stick it on the fridge, don’t leave home till you have checked the basics.
Whether you take the plane for the first time, or you're a seasoned traveler, the following checklist will help you ensure that your travel experience comfortable and safe.
- Check the date and time of your flight and the places that you have been assigned on board and make the necessary changes.
Make sure you have all the right travel documents in hand.
The ID (Passport) issued by a government, that you present to the gate, must be valid for the duration of your trip and must include your name, date of birth and gender . Remember that the name on your ID must match that shown on your ticket.
For international flights and flights between Canada and the United States, the identification must include a photograph .
- Buy a travel insurance . Enjoy peace of mind while traveling elsewhere.
- Get vaccinated . Make an appointment with your doctor six to eight weeks before you travel to receive the recommended immunizations or mandatory, as the places you plan to visit. Visit the website of the Public Health: Fit for Travel
- Make your luggage . Familiarise yourself with the size restrictions and maintaining weight for carry-on and checked baggage and with other regulations. Always place your valuables , such as money, travel documents, car keys and medications in your carry, so that in an incorrect routing unlikely event your checked baggage, you will not be deprived of them.
